What is CBT?
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is based a psychotherapeutic approach used by psychologists and therapists to help promote positive change in individuals and to help alleviate emotional issues.
CBT deals with the here and now– how your current thoughts and behaviours are affecting you in that moment. It recognises how events in your past, particularly thought patterns and behaviours learned in childhood, have influenced the way that you think and behave now.
CBT is based on the idea that our thoughts cause our feelings and behaviours, not external things, like people, situations, and events. The benefit of this is that we can change the way we think to feel / act better even if the situation does not change, therefore reducing anxiety and stress in your life.
CBT Therapy Sessions can help you resolve issues such as:
Anxiety and Stress
Depression
OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder)
Intrusive Thoughts
Realationships
Anger Issues
Panic Attacks
Insomnia
PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder)
